Techniques We Use
As a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Hayes is trained in multiple techniques, known as the “Palmer package” of Gonstead, diversified, Thompson drop technique, and extremity adjusting (knees, shoulders, etc) which most people would recognize as “normal” chiropractic techniques. Dr. Hayes has furthered his post graduate education with certification in Cox Technique, which is a gentle “stretch” type of adjustment for all areas of the spine. It is of course the most used technique to treat herniated discs and now failed back surgery syndrome. He is also trained in Activator methods, which is a form of adjustment done by instrument. He has also trained post graduate in extremity adjusting.
The Graston technique is now the leading edge technique in myofacsial release, and has allowed Dr. Hayes to treat multiple injuries, be they sports, whiplash, work, and shoulder and or knee injuries. It is very effective with plantar fasciitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Hayes is also trained in the use of the cold laser, some of the conditions cold laser treats are:
- carpal tunnel syndrome
- migraine headaches
- acute and chronic sprains and strains.
The techniques we will use are unique to the individual patient and condition being treated.
